Cometa del Reino

(Favorito que tal x Amelia de Dalama)

They say the third nick (repeated cross) is the best, but we've found the fourth to be nothing short of spectacular! Her previous siblings are much beloved by their owners as pleasure, endurance, and winning show pleasure horses. This gorgeous,1997 dappled brown Col/PR cross(50/50) combines the best of both parents, with her sire's gorgeous head and refinement and size, her mom's "gait in the field all the time'" strength of movement, and the best of both temperaments.  Watch for her in the show ring one of these days!

Her dam was a double Pincel granddaughter from imported parents, which line in my opinion produces the best hock action in PR horses, and also plenty of substance and often size. Other lines well known in the Pincel line are Toledo , Volare, Marichal, Alicante , to name a few.

I am retaining Cometa to  take her momma's place, a pure Puerto Rican double Pincel grandaughter , and also being one of the last and second youngest Favorito direct daughters...even though everyone who sees her wants to buy her, some asking to "name my price"... the total embodiment of her lineage (phenotype, including gait) makes her "priceless."  Cometa epitomizes the best of this "American" Paso Fino cross. Plenty of substance, refinement, excellent temperament; great hocks and a very stylish, rhythmic and ultra smooth gait!

Cometa has been a bold trail horse, and has produced a gorgeous ’05  chestnut filly by Excalibur’s Embellazo, named Independencia del Reino. Cometa has a very tight quick corto, and very reaching largo.
