This elegant young blood bay 7/8 Colombian 14h mare has the ultra high headset typical of both the Contra-Sucesor line (Top Ten Sire), from her paternal lines and Cruzeiro Negro CaJe, from her dam’s paternal lines. NCh Cruzeiro Negro CaJe was the all-time top producing stallion in the original American Paso Fino association, APF, known not only for very consistent gait, but also excellent loving temperament and versatility.

While unshown, her sire is by a Top Ten Sire grandson of Contrapunto (son of Pistolero) out of 2 time RNCh Bellas Formas, and 2x RNCh Fino mare, Maria Tomaria, a Hilachas and Relicario (by Desvelito, to Desvelo) grand daughter (her dam, Copla que tal, was by Relicario out of famous cutting mare, Vueltura). 

Ventura’s dam Alexis’ sire Cruzeiro de Sorprecita, was a National Champion son of the famous Cruzeiro Negro CaJe, by Oro Negro by Mahoma, and out of the #2 APF dam, Sorprecita (Onix and the imported Jupiter daughter, Consentida).

Her dam, Capri-Tina Escondida, is by El Capricon, a RNC by APF RNCh Bellas Formas and Fino, El Capricho, out of Mi Confite, a double Desvelo daughter of Singer...and out of La Tina Roana, a Puerto Rican (only one in pedigree) daughter of Negrito, a Deleite son. 

Ventura has displayed an exceptional degree of intelligence, maturity and independence
in adapting to other horses and environments. Her under saddle training was as if she were born broke, yet she has a great deal of very correct brio.  She is very quick-footed and alert, high-headed, well-gaited, with A LOT of charisma to match her superb conformation.  As my first foal of the new Millennium, kicking off the second phase of my breeding program, she was named "Good Luck!"
