Carmelita is a 14.1h grey 2005 mare, with excellent, flashy stylish gait and an outgoing, dominant personality. This makes her a very good candidate for someone that may want to do a little showing as well as trailriding, as she can work "up" or "down."

 

She's only been under saddle about 2 years,  and had a "life of leisure" but great care before then, perhaps a bit over indulgant. With alot of charm, personality, and smarts, and a previous life of getting her way, she needs a naturally assertive intermediate rider, preferably experienced with Pasos, to get her working at her best....she will flat walk, corto, largo, and while she sometimes "acts" afraid of things, when you're new to her...its all an act, her trying to figure if she can "get over" on you or not. She's actually quite the character, and settles down to be the "good girl" pretty quickly, once you pass "her test," for which you will be rewarded with an ultra smooth gait, responsiveness, and ability to"go all day."

 

Her sire is on this site, and her dam is by El Trebol, one of my favorite sons of Caruso de la Ate, full brother to Contrapunto, and out of Pepita de Cruzeiro, by Cruzeiro Negro son, Cruzeiro de Sorpresita, and tail female is El Capricho(super gait)out of double Desvelo, and Puerto Rican mare, La Tina Roana, by Deleite son, Negrito. You will find other great horses on this site by her sire, and several related to her dam, such as Tibon, Ventura del Reino, La Libra and Angelica del Reino, etc., all great lines for strong gaitedness and smart, solid temperament and conformation.
